Yoga II - Day 1

So today was my first day of Yoga II (yoga is not easy by the way, but I feel very loose and relaxed!). Anyways, yoga is suppose to connect with body, mind and spirit. I know the Christians didn’t “come up with” yoga so I went into the class saying im going to relate every bit of this class that I can to God and the word, because I don’t know what in the world the music is saying and I wont be caught dead meditating or concentrating on something other than Jesus.

She talked firstly about GRACE:

In yoga, grace is connected to your connection with the breath. She asked what Grace meant to us naturally or spiritually and of course I relate it to God’s grace towards us.

A volunteer explained Grace as the transition from one movement or thing to the other. The instructor really like this.

So the instructor kept saying “Focus on your breath, the movement should be connected and controlled by your breath. (ex: you don’t do positions in between breaths, it is either during inhalation or exhalation.) In order to achieve grace and control in positions you had to be aware and connected with your breathing.

So during nam-udhfjadfjh (or whatevaer the name of it is.. its basically a nap and relaxation period.) She said be connected with your breath and the lesson I was suppose to bring from 2days class CLICKED and its no big revelation. I was just glad that God is allowing me to draw more of Him out of situations where He isn’t presented formally.

God breathed the “breath of life into us” and in order to obtain grace and favor from Him we must stay connected to that breath, we have to stay connected to Him. From Him we receive the Grace to transition out of situations that we should just be left to rot in…etc.

So stay connected with your breath, with out it your dead spiritually and a dead spirit will lead you to a dead life, and not an eternal one with the Father, your breath of life.
